Have any of you had your sleep study done at home? I have OSA and I'm sure my son also does, but he doesn't want to stay in hospital overnight to be tested. I've heard some studies are being done now at home. Is this correct?

I have never heard of them...........
The only test I have been able to have done at home was to moniter my pulse and O2 sats while I was asleep.
Good luck

sleep study at home
Yes, smoozr, home testing is available.
Here is an excerpt from a CBS report at
CBS report on home testing for sleep apnea (click here)
"With home testing, either a technician or the patient hooks up a portable version of a sleep-lab's respiratory machine at bedtime, and a doctor later checks the recordings. Fourteen studies of more than 700 patients found home testing reliable, Davidson told Medicare advisers last week."
"Davidson" is Dr. Terence Davidson, who had petitioned Medicare to add home testing coverage. Medicare is currently considering it.
