I sent Jamis a note this morning saying I bet OP comes back in a week with praises and feeling so much better. I didn't want to mention it here to alert OP that I was smelling spam for lunch. Was just going to see how it played out. I thought it was put on from the very first post.RandyJ wrote:Is it just me or does this seem like a bogus thread to sell an oral appliance?

Sorry, Pugsy, hope I didn't spoil anything. I smelled a rat from the get go, but then the thread took a life of its own. When he posted again... well...

Further thanks for the variety of responses. RandyJ and Jamis, contrary to your beliefs there is no spam intended. Besides why would I advertise an Indian service provider on a board full of foreign users? There will be no glowing reviews in a week as it would probably take me longer to just to order the appliance. However, I will provide honest feedback - good or bad.RandyJ wrote:Pugsy wrote:I sent Jamis a note this morning saying I bet OP comes back in a week with praises and feeling so much better. I just want to know what the options are. I read online about oral appliances everywhere but they are absolutely not available in Southern India. Not to say that CPAP is a bad choice, and perhaps I would get used to it after a longer trial, but it seems like having just CPAP is a very limited and restrictive choice for treatment of sleep apnea particularly considering that this is something to use for the rest of my life. Just wanted to know from an active online community what your opinions are. Your TMJ points are worth noting and I will ask my dentist later this week. I will probably go for the trial appliance if my dentist agrees.
I also read about Provent as a treatment for sleep apnea? The reviews are mixed, is it any good? Is there any other way that I might have missed?

Hello
In my opinion this is not right way to get some sleep because we have seen that a such a treatments have also bad effects upon human health.
