Size does matter
Size does matter
I'm a new user but wanted to share my experience with others that may be using a mask with nasal pillows since I've found so much help in this forum.
I was using the small and it seemed to fit OK without leaking, but as I moved, it would shift around and I would wake up. I finally got the extra small size in and tried it over the weekend and I slept much better! Instead of waking up several times, it was only a couple. If any of your are using this type of mask and having problems, I encourage you to try the different sizes. XS doesn't come automatically with mine, I had to request it.

lol when i read the title... i chuckled... anywho...
I also find I get better numbers with the smaller mask... I use XS as well. But I also find that I get more rainout in my XS mask vs the Small size mask.... I used my brand new one from my DME lastnight and I had sooo much condensation this morning.... (cant wait to invest in a ClimateLine hose tomorrow)

I haven't noticed much difference with the condensation, but I did notice that it used far less water. Knock on wood, I haven't had a condensation problem and hope I don't!Meowser wrote:I also find I better numbers with the smaller mask... I use XS as well. Re: Size does matter
Size does matter -- a lot! I had to give up on the Swift FX for her because of size problems. Seems one nostril is too big for XS and the other is too small for S. So, it was either a different mask or plastic surgery. I went the cheap route & switched to a nasal mask. . . . My nose has been like this for 60 odd years. (Some were odder than others. ) I see no reason to change my face to fit the mask.

Why not? Bill Gates sees no problem with expecting people to modify their way of doing things in order to conform with the way he knows we should use a computer! [Just my anti-MS bias bubbling up. Ignore it!]ThirdOutOfFive wrote:I see no reason to change my face to fit the mask.

Sl33py...I found the same thing, only in reverse direction!! I started out with the small and thought it was fine, until I decided to get a medium because of allergies and "thinking" bigger might be better! Well, sure enough it WAS better! Going up to mediums just seats better against my nose and very little movement when tossing and turning...go figure!! I knew I had a big nose, just didn't realise it was THAT big!!!

Gaga58, let me know if you'd like the size M that came with mine. I don't use it and it seems a waste to just have it. It's still in the bag and has never even been tried. Same goes for the Large if anyone wants it. I think I'll keep the Small because 1- I've already worn it a few times and 2 - it might be good to have as a back up plan, just in case.Gaga58 wrote:Sl33py...I found the same thing, only in reverse direction!! Sl33py, I'd be down for the Large. Hopefully I won't then find out I'm actually a Medium!sl33py wrote:Gaga58, let me know if you'd like the size M that came with mine.
