Lurking no more...

Post by only1chip » Mon Feb 27, 2006 9:44 am

Hello xPAP world,

I've just joined the site after lurking for about a month. I was just diagnosed early this month and have now had four nights of experience with my new Remstar. The biggest difference - so far - is a marked drop in my PSCC - partner snoring complaint coefficient. I think the night sweats may be getting better also - this was never a huge problem - more of an annoyance (and I had no idea it was related to my snoring).

I truly appreciate all the advice that I've gotten here while lurking. I used this site to more fully educate myself about my OSA and to help chose my machine and mask. I've ordered the software/card reader, and will begin tracking my info soon (with myEncore also). I'm not required to track or prove compliance, I just want to know more about (and take charge of) my situation...

It's my first real health issue (42 years old), and I find that knowledge is the key to living with the problem, and I've learned more here at cpaptalk.com than via the two books I read and the doctor combined. So thanks again... I look forward to becoming an active participant on this board.

Chip

Welcome Chip. I think we have lots of "peeping Toms" lurking here reading valuable information (and we have no problem with that).

Thanks for introducing yourself, and good luck with your therapy. Sounds like you've already taken control of your treatment.

Looking forward to more posts from you regarding how you're doing.
