Logins aren't sticking. Twice now I've had to login when I come back even though I have the automatically log me in box checked.
Anyone else have this problem?

Note to Johnny, Lemo, developers. I tried to respond to a post but got Forbidden to post to server error. Sent PM to Johnny; replied to him. Got messsage from Lemo; and meanwhile was able to post a new post and a reply to post.?!. Perplexed.
Question,, are parentheis and/or colons disallowed? I used parenthesis in failed post; and colon in attempted replies. The only other clue I know holds is, if SpellCheck works, the post will go; if SpellCheck is Forbidden, then post will be forbidden.
-Spell Check worked at this point. But when I added in original post text, it failed.
Sure hope this helps Y'all figure out what's hanging up. earl aka n0hardmask

Actually, it appears that you used the word "Flonase" in at least one of your blocked posts. According to the anti-spam rules used by our zealous new firewall, that's a word worthy of blocking, regardless of context.n0hardmask wrote:Note to Johnny, Lemo, developers. So we have "had a talk" with our firewall and it has agreed to lighten up some.
Seriously, thank you for your feedback. It was most helpful in tracking down a slippery issue. Please let us know if anything else continues to cause problems.
Re: CPAPTalk.com Bugs? Tell Our Developers Here.
Of course that wouldn't be true when just refreshing the forum home page. Some special characters do seem to cause the problem too. Whether commas, colons, quotes, or even a smiley face.john.nelson wrote:Actually, it appears that you used the word "Flonase" in at least one of your blocked posts. If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

Apache Server at http://www.cpaptalk.com Port 80

Happened (repeatedly) when I hit the "submit" button after editing (was trying to add another link) a very long, old post of mine at:
viewtopic.php?p=89536#p89536
In case this has a bearing on the problem: When I edit one of my posts to add another link, I always paste the entire text in again. I don't just stick in the new link to add it.
I paste in the whole existing text (with the new link), leaving off the "http" of each link, in order to make the URL show in its entirety. Leaving off the "http" avoids creating the "viewtopic" shortened URLS that happen when "http" is included.

Sure wish the automatic login failure would get fixed. Whenever I close out my browser and then come back to CPAPtalk I have to login again even though I checked the log me in automatically box the previous logins. I cleared out all the cookies in Firefox to see if that would help. It didn't.

Do you have your browser set to delete cookies when you close it? Or some malware software?idamtnboy wrote:Sure wish the automatic login failure would get fixed. Looks like that was it. Thanks. Changed to keep cookies until they expire and login is automatic now. I up'd from FF 3 to FF 7 at about the same time as CPT changed servers and I guess in the process I changed that setting.GumbyCT wrote:Do you have your browser set to delete cookies when you close it?idamtnboy wrote:Sure wish the automatic login failure would get fixed. It would be nice to be able to print a post or a conversation as seen with images but without the links to them (as you see if you click "Quote"),
it also shows when you click "Preview" before "Submit" which makes the Preview useless.

My password suddenly stopped working today. I had to press the button for a forgotten password, which sent me a new one. The new one worked.

Re: CPAPTalk.com Bugs? Tell Our Developers Here.
I can't remember if words with only three letters got results in the forum's "Search" box before.
If they did before, they don't now. Typing in 3 letter words like REM or AHI or DME yield "No suitable matches were found."
Short terms like those would probably be searched for frequently by new people.
