My beloved BoSox do not need RedSox Nation to will them to victory. I personally support them through thick and thin and have done so since the impossible dream season. Yes there have been many disappointments but each of them have been overshadowed by the hope that each new season brings.

This is a day of mourning in Atlanta. Flags are at half staff. Everyone is wearing black. Tissue boxes are all around. There will be a moment of silence all over the city at noon.

They were a beloved lot, those Braves. May they rest in peace.

Our thoughts are with the Red Sox Nation as well.

Make sure you go to the theatre and see MoneyBall. I'm not a baseball fan but I did love this movie - maybe my favorite this year and I see a lot of movies. I have never been a Brad Pitt fan but he did a great job in MoneyBall.

I went to the evening movie on opening Saturday and the theatre was full. Don't wait on the DVD. The audience reaction enhances the experience.

You don't need to know any of the history to enjoy the movie. I think the experience was better for me because I knew none of the history (the movie is fiction based on history) including what happened to the A's.
