My first night with 0 Obstructive apneas

Post by Ritap1965 » Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:48 pm

My numbers are getting so good. I have fine tuned my pressure range to 12-16.5cm, and I am having my best results. I don't expect 0 apneas often, but I was certainly happy to see one last night.

AHI: 0.6 events/hr
Total Obstructive apneas: 0
Total Hypopneas: 4
Total time in apnea: 0
OAI: 0
HI: 0.57

I was using my Ultra Mirage II nose mask last night. I am going between Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask, Ultra Mirage II nose mask, and ComfortCurve. Since I got the autopap on 2/12/06 I haven't had a single night with AHI>5, so I am very happy.

Thank you to everybody who contributes to this forum. Thanks to you I got the right equipment and knowledge.

Ain't it great when it goes right

Good effort - you deserve the results.

Rita,

Congrats on the great numbers. I guess the real question is - how do you feel?

Great Job, I got you beat of Feb/01/2006, Must have been a Full Moon. AHI 0.0. Now AVG AHI 0.6 for this whole month so far. Glad to hear you have it dialed in. Jim

Thank you fall for your encouragement.

To answer your question Griff, I feel fantastic. Best of all, my short term memory is back. I am studying to become a nurse, and I am taking anatomy right now. The whole class is memorization. I would have failed this class if it hadn't been for cpap. My memory is back, my energy is back, cpap is a lifesaver for me. I have been on cpap since the middle of December and have not felt so good in 10 years. I drove to Vegas and back, 5 hours each way a couple of weeks ago, and I was wide awake on the entire drive. No more microsleeping while I drive.

I know what you mean, Rita. After 30+ years of extremely drowsy driving on trips, the feeling of being fully wide awake while driving has been the greatest plus of all about this kind of treatment.

So glad to hear CPAP is working wonders for you Rita!
