Is mild snoring nornal?

Post by MCX09 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 6:36 pm

My wife says that I sometimes sore even while using my CPAP machine. I was a bigtime snorer before going on therapy. My current pressure is 10. I have been on therapy for about a month and tell a major dfference in my energy and the overall way I feel. (I use a full face mask)

No it is not normal.
You have a data capable machine and should get the software to check your therapy.

Have you seen your software options? If not you can check them out here.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64906&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... re+options

Your machine will score the snores and you can see them on the software reports. They may indicate a problem, they may be minor and not be a problem. Sometimes the pressure is just not quite what it needs to be. Best thing is to look at your reports. If you don't understand what you see post one of the nightly detailed reports showing the snores and someone will help you.

Don't know how to post a report? Here is how I do it.

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Are you same person who originally posted here but not logged in so you are guest?

Information on all the reports is the same. They are just presented differently visually. If you are OP here with Respironics machine I would start with SleepyHead. If you can manage alphaware ok it is the fastest of the software choices. Also much smaller in size. If you cannot manage it, then consider one of the others next.
