Orlando FL Sleep Study

Post by thewebbie » Tue Aug 30, 2011 6:49 am

Hello

I just moved to Orlando FL and my machine broke in the move across country. I need a sleep study anyway since its been 6 years since my last one.

Can anyone recommend a sleep doctor in Orlando FL area?

Thanks!

Can't help you with Orlando, but let me ask you why you think you need a sleep study?

I have the software with my machine and regularly keep up with how my therapy is working and adjust the pressure or mask if necessary. I feel like I will never waste time or money with another sleep study.

Looks like you have a little child in your picture. Ask the Pediatrician or a call to any PCP would probably get you a good referral. Monkey has a good point. What indications are you getting that you feel you need a new sleep study. Just time (6years) alone shouldn;t be an indicator. Also, once you get a new or repaired XPAP, you might consider getting some recording software. It wouldn't hurt anything to get a new sleep study, provided you have the time and $$ to spend however.

Unless you have new insurance due to your move, and they require a study for coverage,
I too, would suggest you get a more advanced machine with which you can self-titrate--at any time.
Less expense--better therapy. No overnight ordeal. Easy peasy!

I can't recommend anyone in Orlando. You could check SleepGuide.com- the have a section with recommendations for professionals in different areas. I think a new sleep study after six years would be a good idea.

I lost all my original documents from my original study and now that a prescription is required to buy a new machine I assume I'll need a study for the insurance. thanks for the input everyone. Going to buy a spare machine this time or at least one for travel.
