Alternatives to CPaP

Post by Monterrey8 » Sat Aug 20, 2011 5:23 pm

Are there any alternatives to CPaP. The $250 annual deductible is so expensive. I was just wondering if anyone has had success with any other device. Thanks.

No. Don't you think your health is worth $250 a year?

CPAP is the most effective treatment. Odds are that the health issues from trying less effective treatments will wind up costing you more than you'd save. If you don't have it, $250 is a lot of money, but it is cheap as these things go.

You might be able to use a dental appliance, but unless your insurance picks up the tab, that's unlikely to be cheaper than what you're paying now. It might also be a waste of money. They don't work for everyone.
