So much for the love affair...

Post by Tash » Sun Feb 12, 2006 11:10 am

I had been loving my Aura with taping and my heated hose (now that it works properly). My numbers were low, and I was starting to feel good.

Until yesterday, when I took a good look in the mirror at my hairline, and realized I have NOTICABLE hair loss. EEK! So, it's time to deconstruct my Aura... Keep your fingers crossed...

Hope you are all doing well
Take care,
Tash

I can't believe you lasted a week with that headgear. Good luck with your deconstruction - cut carefully. The pantyhose/tights work wonderfully as straps - much better than regular velcro straps, and is much more comfortable.

Keep us posted.

I've used the Aura for over a year and haven't seen any problems with my hair line.

My forehead seems to be receding though.

ROTFL!! Wader, that's good! LOL!!

Somehow the look in that guy's eyes makes me think there's a DME dangling a Profile Lite in front of him, reciting the old sales pitch,

"Now, this is our most popular mask."

ROTFL!!

I don't know if this will help at all, but I have been putting a satin night cap on my head before I attach all the other head garb. I know it looks hideous, but it does protect my hair. Luckily, I am single and do not have to worry about being a fright at night......well, somewhat lucky, I guess. I found the night caps in the hair supply section of my grocery store.

I pulled up Linda's pictures, and Rested Gal's models for my hubby to see before he took the wire cutters to my Aura, it took all of 3 seconds for the emancipation of my Aura - I can't wait to try it tonight. I will keep you posted.

Sleep well,
Tash

And I wanted to add that I did try the "round, foam make-up pads", which are very inexpensive, and they work great. I use one under the plastic at the brow, and I never even have a red mark in the morning.

Some users of other masks might want to try them as padding. Buy at the local Walmart, etc for $1.70

Tash, hope you love your De-Aura (now that sounds like a good name). ...

I am a "X" Surface Miner, We had to wear Hard Hats, In the winter we have to wear a hard hat liner, it's a full cloth liner that comes down to your shirt. When I use my Comfortfull FF mask, my neck itches and swells, so before I put the mask on I put the liner on, and you think you look funny!

I am convinced that single cpapers need a separate online dating/meeting site. Only a cpaper would understand all the creativity it takes to get a good night sleep and not worry about how we look. Maybe we are all part of a new culture of people...married or single....we need our hair, no marks on our faces, and a great night of sleep.
