-The Sleeper

If you use SpO2 Review app in windows to save the data from the CMS50e you can get the oximetry into SleepyHead by using the Import Data function from the File menu and pointing to the folder where SpO2 Review has saved its files.

I put together an explanation where those files are stored for Win7: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64458&p=605455#p605455

If you dual boot windows and ubuntu, in ubuntu you can mount the windows share and navigate to the SpO2 folder directly from the Import Data item on the file menu. See image below:

Direct import for the CMS50e on the Oximetry page in SleepyHead isn't operational yet.
Sleep Long, and Prosper.

theSleeper wrote:Mark, I did a "git pull" today to get the latest. Called the 2 make commands.
It nicely asked me for deleting old data.
Reloaded all data.
However, when I clicked in the daily view, to zoom in, it crashed with a black screen in my Ubuntu 11.04 install. Only option was a powercycle.

One more questions for both the windows and Linux version:
How to get the oximeter data imported ?. I got the CMS50E. I was wondering how to get this data into the program. It looks likes it's reading the life data into program.

Thanks,

theSleeper.

Git's a little flakey on linux the last day or two.. (well, non fedora 32bit Linux, mines running fine.. must be either 64bit or distro specific bug) I'm reworking a big chunk of stuff related to the Event system (the Event codes themselves and summary data) I've caught quite a few stupid bugs in the process..

I appreciate the effort. Would love to have a decent Linux client.
I'm running the regular 32 bit version. Good enough for me on an old laptop.
I will download a new update via git now and then.

Thanks for your efforts, and congrats on progress. I first was using .7.something, but I took a chance with .8.1 and I do like the new look. I have noticed two anomalies... I'm not sure just where to report these, so here goes:

Dell D830 series laptop, running XP SP3, machine is new PR-1 Auto

1. This version ofSleepyHead always give the following upon closing (whether using the red X upper right of screen, or >FILE > Close): "SleepyHead QT has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." In spite of this, it seems to have shut down properly, and opens the next time w/o problem.

2. On today's report, the therapy time is incorrectly computed. "Sleep 22:10", "Wake 6:50", "Hours 8:08". There are no breaks in the graphs, and I slept straight through the night, no bathroom trips, ramps, or shut-offs. The previous three nights were all off as well, but by varying amounts: Friday night's by 46 min, Thursday night's by 31 min. and Wednesday night's by 34 min.

Loading the same data from the same card into Onkor shows all the same data, numbers and percentages, but correctly computes the total therapy time as 8:40. The other days are correctly computed as well. The beginning and ending times shown in the card data are correct for each of the days in both programs.

It appears that SleepyHead is subtracting varying amounts of time from the total time the machine is on each night, but I don't understand the reason for this.

Again, thanks for all the work you are putting into this!

Current version on sourceforge is crashy as all heck.. I'm hoping to have a new one up soon.

Just had a quick look into the time thing.. The "minute" field was actually displaying the seconds field.. Good catch.. This is fixed now.. I'll show the full HH:mm:ss from now on..

Heeheehee... not a problem. I knew that when I downloaded the testing version. I wanted to see what the new version might look like. I shall keep poking it to see what breaks (probably why my toys never lasted long as a kid )

Glad to help. Please post when you have a new version posted. Thanks!

I just got an s9 vpap auto and sleepy time understandably doesn't like the data. Would you like data from this machine? If yes, how long should I wait to gather it for you?

I only need really need the last week of data.. Preferably your I need the root files of your SD card, and the last 7 days worth of data in DATALOG folder.. That way I can open it without serious hacking..

I'd LOVE to get VPAP stuff going

I just tried the current upload, I agree it's crashy.
Its going to be awesome though. Congrats

(I haven't read this whole thread yet, I don't know where to find self-help)

I'm going to remove it for now.
Apart from "SleepApp" folder in win7 my documents library, has it added any other files please?

Nope.. all it touches is the SleepApp folder.. No registry keys or nothing..

I hope to have a new version up soon..

Terrific thanks
Apart from reading this thread, are there other links I should read?

It's under heavy development.. If I had the spare time for writing user documentation, It would mean that I have no bugs left to squash.

Hopefully I can find some volunteers to help it make sense.. Eventually I'd like to add some more inbuilt docs to the built in webbrowser thingy that shows in the welcome screen. Right now I'm focusing on unleashing my vengeance on all these crashy bugs..

In the meantime, this forum is a great place to ask questions and stuff..

Is there something I could help with? I am no good with coding but maybe I can help in some other way? I have the time and my broken wrist is hopefully going to be cast free in a couple of days.

Thanks Pugsy.. Glad to hear your wrist is healing up.. I don't wanna be causing you pain, but I guess a little exercise is good for healing.

I guess we really need a bit of info on how to import data, how to safely back-up SD cards in windows/mac (particularly important on ResMed as the S9 deletes detail data every 7/30 days.), what keys/click combo's do what.. (Only really cursor keys and ctrl to accelerate functions, and the different behaviours of right / left click and dragging combinations)

I'm just not very good with wording stuff that makes sense to normal people (or knowing what they really want/need to know).. I need a nerd translator..

Doesn't need to be formatted fancy or anything (unless you know standard HTML, in which case go for it)

Eventually I've got to setup a wiki or something.. But most of what's needed can go inside the program, and I can add links to jump the different sections..

Composing means I have to stretch my brain a bit and it is usually rough but maybe I can help with basics.
A glossary of terms might be nice too. What I know about html coding would fit on the head of a pin. I am way to rusty on it. I will see what I can come up with in the next few days. Husband will be home next couple of days so he whines if I spend too much time on computer. When he goes back to work I will put my mind to work composing some basic stuff.
