Hi all,
I followed your suggestions and have contacted my doctor. He has written a new prescription for a machine that is data capable. I did a search for a comparison chart for machines and told him the specifications of one that will do everything. I hope this works out well but you never know till you get there what the view will be. Thank you all for bringing the inadequacies of my machine to my attention before it was too late to swap it out. Unfortunately i will be stuck for the cost of the humidifier unit as they will not take it back. I guess that is better then having the whole brick. Thank you all once again. JImmer24

Re: swapping out my brick
You have the PR S1 humidifier? Just get another PR S1 machine that meets your data requirements.jimmer24 wrote:Unfortunately i will be stuck for the cost of the humidifier unit as they will not take it back.
Then use your existing humidifier. No money wasted.
If you are getting entirely new brand (like ResMed) of course it won't work.

Re: swapping out my brick
A PRS1 (Philips Respironics Series One) Auto or Pro are both excellent machines and will work with your existing humidifier. Do not let them tell you a PRS1 Plus is data capable. It only records when it's powered on. Also, don't let them give you an M series REMstar machine, they don't record waveforms and use an inconvenient proprietary data card.
Get the PRS1 Auto if at all possible. It can always be set to run in manual mode if you don't want Auto. Or just set to give you a small pressure range.
