PB420E download prob

I am having problems installing PB 420E softwear into my computer from the original disc supplied.
I have done an operating system re-intall so I don't know if the disc is now defective or if it
is because I am now using XP service pack three? or if is there could be some other reason?
any ideas anyone please?

What kind of problem with the install? Start and stop? No install prompt? Error message?

I can't find computer specs for the software but I didn't think it was so old as to need pre XP SP specs.

Can you manually view the contents of the disc?

thanks for reply. I can see all the file in the folder, the installation stops at 6 % . after a minute or so it shows a message which says that an error occured during the move data process: - 106. next line says component: common files. next line says file group: common then File Sl.exe. which ends the process. then it closes the installation.

sounds like a problem with files on the disc.

Do you know anyone with a computer that you could see if it will install on another computer?

yes, have tried another computer, same thing happened. the only difference from when i downloaded a while ago is that service pack
3 has been installed on the computer, before that it was service pack 2.

Then I would suspect a damaged file or damaged area on the disc.

Maybe someone has a disc they could copy for you or know of a place to download safely. I have no experience with this software so don't know how to bypass the file in question. Unless you could some how copy the files to another disc or to the hard drive and see if you could perhaps get it to work there. Long shot at best.
