It seems like lately, every other new Pillow I get for my Swift FX is so mushy it is like it has been used for months. The last one came brand new as (one of the three) in a brand new Swift FX mask. (So I know it wasn't a used one given to me by the DME.)
I really like the Swift FX mask but am getting tired of the inconsistencies of the pillow manufacturing by Resmed. Has anyone had any success complaining to them about this? Do they care? If so - I will be happy to send it to them so they can figure out what is going wrong in their manufacturing process. It seems to me that the pillows are getting worse as time goes by.
If not - I'm going to find another mask to use. I can't see spending the money I am on pillows that seem worn out when they are brand new.
I'm just curious to what you are experiencing.

Nobody has had success complaining to ResMed and yes, they care. They are thrilled because it means they sell more pillows faster!

Re: Are others getting new Swift FX "worn out" pillows?
Couple of years ago several Swift LT users seemed to have similar problems with those pillows. There is a long discussion thread about it. Would be about June or July 09. ResMed was made aware but I don't know if anything was ever permanently addressed. A few people got freebie replacements.
At the time I was given "new" supposedly inferior pillows but I got months of use out of them. Go figure.
Same thing with the Swift FX. I have been using it for over a year and I can get 3 months and more of use out of one pillow.
How they feel to my hands is irrelevant, to me, to how well it maintains a seal.

On page 12, tattooyu's DME talks to a ResMed rep:

"I wanted to chime in here and mention that I brought it up to my DME, who is a great guy and very interested in my feedback and my therapy. He spoke with a rep. at ResMed (I don't know what department) and he brought it up to them. According to him, they know about this quality control issue on the nasal pillows but don't want to change anything because, "Patients are allowed new nasal pillows every month anyway."

I've been using my first set of LT pillows for 9 months. They have changed color in a couple of places because I smoke a pipe, but they work just fine.
