AHI on Elite II machine ....

Post by downsize » Mon Jun 20, 2011 7:39 am

On my Elite II machine, when it displays the day's AHI under the results menu, is that figure already averaged over the night, or does that number still need to be divided by the hours I slept ?

That would be the number of AHIs per hour.
Machine: Resmed S9 Autoset
Mask: Resmed Mirage Quattro Medium
Humidifier: Resmed H5i Heated Humidifier with ClimateLine
Additional Comments: Resmed S8 Escape II for backup

Oh hell .... That's what I was afraid of. I am now at a loss ! I have upped my pressure by a number of 2, and am now taping my mouth very effectively .... MY leak shows only 0.02 , yet my AHI is 28.4

I am now at a loss with NO insurance, which means no new sleep study. I guess I start upping my pressure by 2 every night .... sheesh !

According to your posts you started at a pressure of 11...you have raised the pressure to 13 and now you want to increase it by 2 again...you may have other problems...i would go slow with the increases. You really need a sleep test. Contact a sleep center and see what arrangements you can make for a cash deal...

You may need to get your CPAP checked for accuracy also.
