Stomach pain from eating air?
Stomach pain from eating air?
Sometimes I wake up with painful tummy on all sides and need to release gas. Does this mean my pressure is too high, even if my AHI is over 5?
Re: Stomach pain from eating air?
Maybe. The "catch" is what is your Leak rate? And, unfortunately, the Leak rate reported on the LCD screen on these new S9s is actually quite useless to help w/this problem. We got a better "picture" w/the S8's method of reporting the Leak rate via the LCD screen. You now need the ResScan software to get a true idea of your Leaks and whether the Leaks could be contributing to the high AHI and/or your pressure need and/or the pressure you are receiving.

Re: Stomach pain from eating air?
I had this problem and found out (via the Atlanta CPAP meeting) that having my chin down is one possible cause. That fixed it for me! YMMV.Knabino wrote:Sometimes I wake up with painful tummy on all sides and need to release gas. Does this mean my pressure is too high, even if my AHI is over 5?
Sleep well and prosper!
Re: Stomach pain from eating air?
Since I've been adhering to a "no eating within 3 hours of sleep time" policy (to alleviate cough from a bit of reflux I was apparently having), I've noticed a big reduction in CPAP gas.

Additional Comments: Pressure is 11-14. Old CPAP was a Resmed S6 Lightweight. Also have Profile lite mask. ResScan is actually version 3.14. Now I use Sleepyhead. |
