I don't know whether the guy was a spammer or a troll, but I DO KNOW that it sure was nice to see a couple posts in this thread by one of the most brilliant guys to EVER grace this forum, Mr. "Snoredog", of course!

I was a little excited by this until I realized it was an old thread. I would be great if Medicare and other insurance would start requiring fully data capable auto machines and appropriate usage. Check the data every so often. Use the auto function to titrate more carefully. Maybe even require some initial "home sleep study" with a good auto machine.

I suspect we all believe they'd all save money over the long run. Not just due to fewer sleep studies and repeat visits to set up the CPAP therapy, but also from the improved health of the patients.

Iim so glad to see this post
See I'm in CA and just moved here to find new Sleep drs. etc and now trying to get the sleep studies done and had to go back 3 times and now trying to find masks i don't have to pay for
In PA i could just call my provider and they'd come out with masks to try etc. but since the new ruling in CA I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. I sure could handle with better if i wasn't so sleep deprived.
have to document all the masks each nite on a form and have a special machine from Dr to record all the info now SS says not valid b/c I'm not using the machine they provided..............I'm sad and disheartened to have to fight so hard to do this by myself. Isn't it what we are paying the drs for ...........to help us through this new maze???
support needed here is anyone is still awake
