I no longer need my cpap machine as I found that a device called AveoTSD worked for me so I'm selling off all my equipment.

Send me an email if you want any more pictures or questions. The Resmed Oximeter has been highly modified to work with the Nonin Xpod 3012 unit but it works.

Will the oximeter work with just plugging it in to the ResMed S9 CPAP somehow? I know there is an oximeter that does that, but not sure what it is called. If it will work, and you still have it, how much $$ do you need for the Oximeter and the S9. I am interested in a back up machine, if I can afford it too. Thanks.

Very interesting looking device. How did you confirm that this does in fact take care of your apnea?casadelane wrote:I no longer need my cpap machine as I found that a device called AveoTSD worked for me so I'm selling off all my equipment.

The AveoTSD device does work but its not perfect. It works for me. The suction is not that bad and if you search the internet you'll find some utube videos of how to wear it where you place your lips over the outer flanges of the device. If you do that it does not pop out at night.
The biggest problem I had with cpap was that it was waking me up all the time at night (10x times per hour). It might had been working when I was asleep but I just woke up all the time dealing with anything and everything to do with the mask, hose, leaks, ect.... Drove me nuts at night. I tried the cpap machine for 6 months straight.
The AveoTSD device is easy to get used to and it doesn't bother me at night. I confirmed that my apnea events were reduced or eliminated when using it by reviewing my oximeter data with it. No major drops below 92 so I'm happy with it.
I knew it was working the first night with it because I had some crazy intense rem sleep dreams going on for the first couple of nights. The rem sleep was so vivid and prolonged that it gave me headaches in the mornings following those few first nights. Turns out I was getting very little rem sleep when I was using the cpap machine. Took about two weeks for me to catch up and recover on my sleep.

Thanks for posting, I had not seen that device. Something to think about. Glad to hear it's working for you.
