Eye Mask compatable with Mirrage Quattro???

Post by abpiel72 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:53 pm

Before CPAP, I used to sleep with an eye mask because I am so light sensitive. Now that I use the Resmed Mirage Quattro, I cannot wear an eye mask over it because the safety vent is in the bridge of the nose. I got a Respironics Comfort Gel Full Mask because of the different placement of the exhaust, I can wear an eye mask over it. However, the Respironics Mask is much less comfortable, leaks enough to bother my wife, and causes my nose to blister.

So, anyone know an eye mask that is compatable with the Mirage Quattro? Google search have turned up nothing for me.

I had the same problem ~ used an eye mask before, but the one I had was too thick to use with my c-pap mask (Mirage Quatro full face mask). I also was not able to find anything I could order. I have made my own. I bought at Walmart a package of the stretch knit hairbands and I used them to make an eye mask. It works well and is thin enough that it doesn't interfer with the seal ~ when I went for my visit at the Sleep center, I had good readings with very little air leaks. Maybe someone you know could make one for you.

I have just tried this but it leaks too much where the eyemask starts. It is very comfortable thou. My pressure is max 14

The ONYIX eye shields work with my Mirage Quattro FFM. They take a bit of getting used to, but work well, and fit well with the Quattro.

Good point! Is this the Mirage Quattro Full Face, or Mirage Quattro FX?

I was talking about the Quattro FF, but I have tried eye masks with the Quattro FX and none that I had worked because the depth of the FX. It allows a lot of light through to the eyes and eye masks dont blank that out (the Onyix might work, I didnt have that )
