Change pressure on a REMstar Pro

Post by Guest » Tue May 03, 2011 6:14 pm

I am SO frustrated with my stupid c pap machine. It is a REMstar Pro C-Flex +....I want to lower the pressure setting but I have no idea how and the manuals will not tell you how to do it. I think mine is set at 12 but I wake up about an hour into it and I am bloated with air and feel like I am going to throw up. I just want to see if a lower pressure would help this because I have tried EVERYTHING else and nothing works. I refuse to use the machine when it makes me feel like this so wouldn't it be better if I could tolerate a lower pressure because 12 is not working for me. PLEASE HELP!!

Unplug the little plug from the back of the machine.
Plug it back in, at the same time hold down BOTH the arrow buttons.
You will hear 3 beeps.
Now you can enter set-up.
Scroll thru till you see your pressures, use the plus or minus buttons to set you pressure up or down.
I would NOT change your pressure too drastically at once, perhaps .5 or 1, then try it for a few days at that setting, if still too high do it again. By the way who set your pressure in the first place, if by your supplier, PLEASE do the change SLOWLY until you get to where it is comfortable and your readings show few AHI's and leaks.
Good Luck
Nan

Those were instructions for the "M-series", not the "original RemStar". You need to hold down 3 buttons (both arrows and the ramp) while applying power to the RemStar. Here are detailed instructions for almost any machine. Make sure you are following the RemStar procedures...
