Post by Polarstar000 » Sat Jan 14, 2006 6:59 pm

Anyone know where I could order a Respironics Smartcard?

Thank you.

By that you mean just the replacement card only? Not the card reader and stuff? I didn't see the card listed separately on the cpap.com site, though I'd bet they could special order "parts" for stuff they do have listed.

The 2factors website lists a 5-pack of smartcards for $25. I am curious if anybody has tried these on a Respironics machine, and if they do or don't work "right out of the box" or if they need to be "formatted" or initialized somehow??

If you are working with a particular DME, you might try asking them for another card. I suspect they have them in order to replace ones that get damaged or lost.

If it's under 2 years old it's under warrenty. If the machne is rented it's under warrenty.

I person PM'ed me saying they got the twofactor cards and they didn't work out of the box, she wanted to know if I could help, but I haven't had one to play with fron 2 factors, I did have one out of a Dish Network but it errored as I thought it would. (the contacts were a little different on it, no smoke is a good thing.) I wish I had got the 2factors cards just to play with. She never got back with me so I don't know her outcome, she said she wrote 2factors about it.
