In harmony with how Madalot put it so well, the forum owners tend to keep the doors propped mostly wide open around here. Trolls get OSA too and need PAP therapy just like the rest of us. Some people end up here with some mood-damage from years of bad breathing and bad sleep. Many of us try to be as understanding about that sort of thing as we can, in the interests of being as helpful as possible to everyone. I think that is why some level of disruptive activity is tolerated here.

So when I see posts/threads full of nonsense and pain, I try to think of it as a testimony to just how far the forum owners bend over backwards to make sure everyone gets help dealing with this serious medical problem.

It takes a certain resolve and talent to be able to stay cool under fire when you are only trying to help the one who is shooting rounds out at the world in general. I am amazed at the talent of some of the regular posters here in being of help to people who seem to be doing everything they can to resist that help and to attack everyone who gets within 50 feet of them.

It is fine if you want to be disturbed when you see things like that happen in those situations. Hide your eyes. That works. But I recommend being amazed and awed by it any time you see it in action, if you can handle the visuals.

It takes a special medic to work in a zone that requires body armor. If you aren't comfortable working in that zone, feel free to keep to the relative safety of the DMZ threads in this forum. Or you can hide and watch and be amazed at what happens in the less-safe zones. But please don't leave completely, if you want to learn something or to help the ones you can help. Because a lot of help happens here.

Being a newbie here, this kind of nonsense is not very encouraging to see.

There are probably only one or two people who like to stir up trouble and use new names repeatedly. It is like a school bully, they want to appear larger than life. Unlike a school bully, they can really do you no harm. Just ignore them. The rest of us share information and support each other. This place is a wealth of information! It is good to see you here.

Fortunately, this kind of diatribe is quite infrequent, and given how quickly messages scroll here, it won't be up front very long, especially if those of who know better would just resist the temptation to respond!

Another perspective Cliff NOTES

The message that someone is playing editor in chief while you are sleeping was interrupted when a verbose member (who claims to be under stress) injected venom without ever reading the deleted post. Julie admitted the deleted post was innocuous. This resulted in a circling of the wagons to protect the guilty forum member editor in-chief.

It all slide down hill from there. iirc there have been other posts asking about posts getting deleted.

So now the message is if you are not a registered member you will be burned at the stake if you turn in a registered member for deleting your post.
