What do you use when you have no electricity?

What do you use when you have no electricity? Not even batteries. There are a lot of nasal strips, nose cones and other gadgets on the net. I have no intent of stopping cpap therapy but want an option for being in the boonies camping and running out of power. Any opinions on Max-Air nose cones? Thanks zrons

Looks to me those things are for nasal issues. I don't see how they would be of any value for OSA.

Other than sleeping sitting up, I have no good ideas for going without CPAP. I'd recommend camping trips no longer than your battery lasts.

I have a DC inverter that works. I will hook that up to one of the two cars or my tractor in the garage and set it on the concrete floor. An extension cord will run from the garage to our bedroom. Simple setup, don't have to buy special batteries or expensive dedicated backups that can't be used by anything else. If one car battery dies, there is another. Than another from the tractor.

And Max air looks like snake oil. Just an opinion.

At home I have a generator. I camp at sites with electricity. For the price of batteries you can do a lot of camping at sites that have power.

Works good if you're the one in control of selecting the camping destination! I'm trying to decide what options to pursue for camping this summer. Powered campsites isn't one of them because this will be our annual brothers/nephews/grandnephews camping/ATV weekend outing so I'm only one out of 15 or more guys. All the campsites we go to are primitive with no more than a table, fire ring, and outhouse available. Last summer I ran my S9 for one night with a DC inverter powered from my pickup battery. Had to jump start the pickup the next day!! I'm leaning toward buying a deep cycle marine battery and using my DC inverter. I'm kicking around the idea of getting a solar battery charger to recharge it during the day.

In any case, there ain't no cheap solution to solving the no electricity situation. What I wish existed is a small gasoline powered 200 watt, continuous duty cycle, ultra quiet generator. Harbor Freight has a 800 watt generator for $129 but it's only rated for 5 hours run time at 50% load.

Where I live the power is not always reliable. I have a Honda generator that I will run intermittently just to keep the food in the freeze from thawing and to run the furnace to keep the pipes from freezing in the winter. My generator will not run 8 hours before running out of fuel.

I have an M-series APAP machine that runs directly off of 12 volts. Running directly off of a car battery eliminates the need for an inverter. I do not use the humidifier when using the battery and can get at least two nights use before I need to charge the battery.

If you need an inverter, it gets a little more complicated, but this is solvable. If your unit can run on a modified sine wave inverter at under 500 watts the cost of an inverter in not very expensive. I do not recommend Harbor Freight as the quality is often poor, but the prices are attractive.

If you have to have a heated humidifier then you need to consider relocating to a friend’s or relative’s house that has power or spending a night in a motel with power. Otherwise, you need a backup generator or a battery bank that can handle the load for the period of time you are without power.

I received my cpap gear last April 13...guess what..the power went out for 14 hours the very next night, then a week later it went out for 10 hours. I went to my local store and bought a mod. sine wave inverter and a 12 volt deep cycle marine battery. Of course the power has not gone out since , but I use the set up in my motorhome when I am camping without hook-ups. Can get 4 nights without using my humidifier.

I haven't had to find out yet, but I have an oximeter, a cervical collar, nasal strips, and a recliner.
So I'm hoping some combination of those will work.
