I have a heated hose and so normally wouldn't need one of those hose covers. However, since my bedroom is fairly quiet, both my significant other and me are somewhat irritated ("annoyed" would be too strong a word) by the sound of the air rushing through the hose (yes, the machine is quiet enough for us to hear that).
Two questions:
1. Would a hose cover reduce that noise?
2. Is a hose cover for a heated hose overkill, i.e. will the air or the hose get uncomfortably warm?
Thx!

The cover would dampen the noise.
If there is a feedback control in the system, it should not present a problem with overheating, but this should be checked out before you use it during the night. You could set it up early in the evening and let the unit run for a few hours with the cover on, and then check it out for any signs of overheating.

You can test out the theory by using old tube socks strung in a line or a towel
just wrap anything around your hose, use elastics to keep it on & out of your way. If it works, buy a hose cover or make your own out of fleece or if you are a knitter, knit one.
Cheers

Hose snuggie helps marginally and it may be dangerous with a heated hose.
You would do better with some white noise--like a fan on low pointed away from you.
