cpaptalk.com reunion?
Has anyone ever thought about what it would be like to have some sort of cpaptalk get-together, a reunion of sorts, in real life? (forget that the prefix "re" means again, as that doesn't fit, but I really didn't want to call it a "union"...)

Re: cpaptalk.com reunion?
I can't help but be curious what some of my cpap.com friends are like in person. Of course there's always the possibility of letdown if you discover they aren't as interesting in person. (I don't mean you, SU.)

Re: cpaptalk.com reunion?
I wouldn't think that there would be much interest, as we would have to pick a place and everyone would have to travel there.
I will say that I am way more charming in person than I am on here.

It would be pretty difficult, given that the forum is worldwide.

The geographic center of our locations, I'm willing to bet, is Hawaii.Hawthorne wrote:It would be pretty difficult, given that the forum is worldwide.

It would be impossible to make it accessible to all. We'd have to just pick a place that some people would be able to get to. Like Houston, so we could finally meet Johnny & Carolyn!

I think I'm way more charming here than in real life. Which is not to say I am at all charming here, only that I am pretty sure I am not very charming in reality.Jaylee wrote:I will say that I am way more charming in person than I am on here.

I didn't know that was a mystery! I always thought he was a he, but could I have just assumed that?! Oh wow.

Re: cpaptalk.com reunion?
I can just see the headlines now:
{insert city name here} suffered a massive power outage last night that blacked out the entire city. Source within the power company have traced the outage to a downtown hotel that they said suffered a tremendous load spike that caused a cascade effect. {insert TV station name here} News has further discovered that the load spike can be blamed on a gathering of CPAPTALK members who all, upon retiring for the night, turned on their CPAP machines at once causing the massive load spike. Stay tuned to {insert TV station here} for further details.

Perhaps we should pick the city from this link -
