Even with using a full face mask, like your Liberty, a person will get dry mouth if they breathe through their mouth a lot.
Increasing the humidity might help somewhat. It also might help with the nose being blocked. Also try to keep mouth closed as much as possible.

Talk with the clinic person about all your symptoms. The headache could be from the straps being too tight. Did you have headaches upon wakening before cpap? If so, is this the same type of headache? If not, it could just be the straps.

Anyway, talk about all your issues. Comfort is key to sticking with all this stuff..

its a bit dififcult changing the humidity levels...don't have the addition to the machine, the straps have been the same since i got the mask setup, have only had this one other time and that was 2 weeks ago same headgear same amount of sleep time. headache was worse this morning though but i did shrugg it off last time thinking i may just not be well, this time around i'm going to try and sort it.
i have always tended to slepp with my mouth open, have tried with previous mask with mouth closed, didn't work, found i struggled to breathe through the night

Please clarify "don't have the addition to the machine". Are you stating that you are not using a humidifier?

Headache could be from just a bad OSA night. Did you check your numbers on the machine? Leak, AHI, etc?

Having a humidifier is essential. At your earliest opportunity you should get one.

Yes, get the humidifier. It will make a huge difference. Make that the first thing you talk about at your clinic meeting.

I would do a couple of things. First, I would get a chin strap to help keep you mouth closed. While even though you have a full face mask, breathing through you mouth does make it dry. If you don't want to do this, they do make a gel that you can you that helps with dry mouth. The name which I forget is on a number of postings, just do a search on dry mouth. Second, what I do and which many others do is tape your lips shut. Of course you need the chin strap in combination. Some people freak out doing this but it does work. With you being so new, I would start with the chin stap. If you want, you can make one from an ACE bandage. Good luck, stay with it, you will be pleased. I would also try to get the humidfier

Yes, the humidifier is a definitely must! Without it, you're just getting room air without any added moisture.

If you're a real mouth breather, even with a humidifier dry mouth can be a problem. However, I noticed that after the first couple months, it wasn't quite so bad; but the first month or so I felt like my mouth was the Gobi desert (I used a Hybrid for the first 3 or so months...only breathed through my mouth).

the banging headache could be a concern....what is your pressure set for? some of the FFM don't vent out your exhaled air very well at lower pressures. i tried using the quattro...but at a pressure of only 8...it didn't vent well and i awoke with dizziness and a headache from hell. just sayin'.....
