I apologize to those whom I have irritated
I have finally figured out my new machine and while its not perfect and not as good as what it replaced, it is good enough. Today I got the thing titrated close enough to 11.0 (about 10.9, maybe 10.9 & 1/2) to where it will slide by. I have noticed the new S9 seems to have a faster algorhythm and seems sensitive, plus it supposedly picks up centrals which my sleep medicine doctor likes.
I have decided I will "deal with it" by losing twenty pounds, maybe twenty five lbs, over the next two to three months. If I crack down on my diet (2000 calorie a day diet) plus swim laps like crazy and some other things, I lose weight rather easily. I am at 211 right now, if I can get to 190 by about late April or early May sometime I dont think it will matter at all. I might not even need CPAP at 190 and below, who knows. That would be more than fine with me.
So I wont be posting here anymore, someone mentioned my account is deleted after three months. If I have problems with OSA despite my above plan, I will just go to my sleep doc and maybe the hospital and check myself in for a few days and have another sleep study.
I would like to say that I apologize to all those who I have rankled, however I must say that it was all just a response to how I perceived I was being "attacked" when I threw out experienced suggestions. Such as losing weight if needed (which is usually in OSA), using a full face mask even if it leaves marks on your face and you think it makes you "ugly," having outside interests besides OSA message boards, etc. etc. etc.
Anyway, have a nice life! See you next time my machine breaks down and I backslide real bad. Although I plan on getting a backup APAP this time around.
See ya!

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

You were never "attacked" like you stated, every post you acted like your way was gospel. I am new to this forum and I won't miss you. I hope you are serious when you said are done with this forum(I ignore you for the most part).
Re: I apologize to those whom I have irritated
I think you all had better check out redrite and redrite1. Redrite joined last night at 9 something and has posted 5 times already, also posted as redrite1 a couple of times. Sound familiar, the vernacular (language) seems to be very similar too. Very polite this time but also knows all the answers.
I apologize if I have made a mistake, but sure looks like same dude to me.
Cheers all

I'd previously thought he would come back in a couple months seemingly 'reformed'. It looks like redwrite1 has no posts now. Well, civil is better than boorish any day. Let's see how it plays out. The more I think about it, the more I wonder if this is a study for a psychiatry thesis on trolls in help fora.
If this is the case, then:
If this person's (or this group of students') thesis or major professor is watching their progress, I'd like to formally protest any constructed personae appearing on the forum for the purposes of manipulating or misleading valid forum members. I also request immediate disclosure of whatever study is being done, its purpose and immediate disclosure of all constructed avatar personae in the study on this forum. I also request that the study cease immediately and that the constructed avatar personae be removed from the forum.

I would like to ask that the people here not go on a "witch hunt" with new users. Please give new users a chance and give the benefit of the doubt before coming to any conclusions.
I would hate to see someone get convicted simply because of their timing in joining and happen to use similar languge as a person that has caused trouble.
Just saying...

Re: I apologize to those whom I have irritated
This is the last post I am making here, I intended yesterday to be the last. Lets get one thing crystal clear here for your SEVERELY overanalyzing ass.DreamDiver wrote:I'd previously thought he would come back in a couple months seemingly 'reformed'. I am an individual sick person with OSA. I had a backslide. I decided to buy my own equipment off the Internet. I had been doing so well up until December that I had stopped paying attention to all the latest CPAP gizmos and gear and supposed improvements.
I am not, in anyway, shape or form, part of any psychiatry or psychology major or thesis or whatever. I hate psychiatry and psychology and think its a joke. Please do not insult me by insisting I am a part of that sorry, disgusting profession. You have a problem with over analyzing and you might need a shrink (my opinion). At the minimum, Id say you need to get off the Internet and get some fresh air and get a life and get some outside interests. Ditto for many other of the "regulars" here.
Again, the absolute last place you'd find ME would be in a psychiatry or psychology class or major or thesis or research project. I am asking you to "let it go." Move on, I am.
You people are a bunch of nuts with way too much time on your hands and too much time on the net.
Goodbye, I aint posting here anymore.

Nan, Please be specific. I just looked at the first five posts by Redrite (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=54748) and there is nothing in them like what we saw from the OP of this thread.
