Swift Lt Users---Question ?

Post by DannyPh » Tue Feb 01, 2011 4:24 pm

I have been using the swift II nasal mask since beginning cpap therapy three years ago but have recently ordered the swift LT mask but have yet to use it. Tonight will be the first night with the swift LT and i was wondering what other LT users think of the Mask ? I also have the mirage Liberty as a Back up mask for congestion issues.

I get really good results with LT. Unfortunately because the exhalation port blows to my better half, I only use it when traveling or when she's away visiting family. As long as you use the proper size pillow, you should really do well with it.

Good luck.

Swift LT for her is my primary mask. I love it. I have to agree about the exhaust port. It can be annoying. Otherwise no issues.

The Swift Lt is my primary mask also. I really like it because you do not have to wear it tight and it is very comfortable. I did make soft fleece covers for the straps.

It's a wonderful mask. See the fitting tips on my blog, but you'll probably do fine because of your Swift II experience.

Love the LT....first and only owned mask......after discovering during sleep study that regular nasal mask caused headache from sitting on my sinuses!!

Still on my original medium nasal pillow after 2+ years....

Love it!!

Hi---The Swift LT for her is my primary mask--size small nasal pillows. LOVE The mask!! it is perfect for side sleepers too. The exhaust port does blow to my spouse's side of the bed but my pressure is not that high and he doesn't mind the wind!! LOL!

The Swif FX is a great mask too ----I also have that mask. Still trying to get used to it though --I seem to get lots of leaks when tossing from side to side. I have not tried it since I got my RS9 Auto --since it adjusts the pressure --maybe the FX will work for me, I will give it another try.

Good luck and stick with it--you will LOVE it.

Carrie

I use the Swift Lt for Her and have for nearly 2 years. I've tried them all, and this is my favorite. I still struggle with the desire to use the CPAP, but the alternative is a sure trip to the ER for cardioconversion for SVT caused by Hypoxia from not using my cpap! I like the soft wraps on the Lt for Her.

I don't have a lot of experience with masks other than the Swift Lt. I have a full beard and it works for me. When I was being fitted for my first mask I thought a mask that allowed me to breath through my mouth and nose would be better. The mask that worked best was the Swift Lt. It does tend to leak a bit when I sleep on my side. The exhaust eliminates cuddling with my wife in the spoon position, but the elimination of my snoring allows us to share the same room. We are both happy with the mask.
