WOW, unadog, with those complaints you definitely need a BiPAP SV.
Can you hold out for a PR1 ASV?
or do you want to get the BiPAP Auto SV, now?
I desperately need **something** that helps now, no question!

I **may** have a Bipap S/T here and available on Wednesday after the titration. If I had found a used SV that I could buy without a script I would have purchased that right away.

I may still try to buy a used Bipap Auto SV next week, because it will probably take at least 2-3 weeks to get one through my insurance and the DME.

So **if** I have a Bipap Auto SV to use before teh DME is ready to give me a machine, **then** I might wait to get a PR1 through insurance, which would save me money in the long run. I am a sucker for the "newest and greatest" technology, so I know I will buy the new version sooner or later. I especially would like the improved data tracking/reporting of a PR1.

Cheers!
Michael

I am very confused by the postings here. I just got a Respironics BiPap Auto SV Advanced. I have Complex Sleep Apnea. I have some questions:

1) Is this Respironics most current machine for treating Complex Sleep Apnea? There is mention of a new PR1 machine- is that newer and for CSA ?

2) It has two annoying features:

a) When I take it off when I get up to go to the bathroom once during the night, it doesn't automatically shut off
b) If I turn it off for those 3-4 minutes, it makes a loud beep when I turn it on again, awakening my wife

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of disabling the beep upon turning it on?

Will leaving the machine on for less than 5 minutes without me connected to it -during an 8-9 hour sleep period - affect the machine's readings on the Smartcard that my doctor will view? Will it show excessive leakage or some other unwanted reading?

Thanks for any help.
