how to deodorise a CPAP machine?

I stayed 2 nights at my parents house for xmas and they are both very heavy smokers. I've just set my machine up back at home and the air comming out of it smells pretty gross. I've got it running in the bedroom to just cycle some air through it but is there anything else I could try??

A small saucer of vinegar right outside the air intake might help (I'd remove the filter for that and replace it).

Replace the filters ASAP!!! The more you run your PAP w/the "contaminated" filters in it the harder it will be to remove the smoking order!!!

Then let it run outdoors for several hours to pull in fresh air thru the new filters. After doing so replace those filters w/new filters.

Also wash your mask and hose w/a baby shampoo and rinse well w/a vinegar and water mixture. Vinegar is a pretty good "deoderizer".
