Hi,
I am about 6 months into my cpap treatment and I had a cold a last week. My caugh is still not getting better and I was wondering if the Humidifier in the cpap is causing a post Nasal drip? Is this possible?

Take mucinex or it's generic before bed. It works wonders for post nasal drip.

But do you think the cause is the cpap? Do I have the humidifier set correctly at 4?

The cause is the cold - you would have it even if you weren't on cpap. Cpap just helps you stay breathing while you sleep.

The same thing happened to me last week, caught a cold. When this happens I just switch to the full face mask and use a good nasal decongestant. The FFM works wonders for me when I have a cold. I find that I am breathing mostly out of my mouth when I first go to sleep but through the night the cpap clears my nasal passages and when I wake up in the morning I am breathing normally out of my nose. I have a few leaks here and there but I end up getting a much better nights sleep than if I wasnt using CPAP.
