Questions re PR System One auto

Post by cortez356 » Wed Dec 22, 2010 6:51 am

I have decided that I should have a backup machine. We spend the winter in Mexico and if my S9 quit I would be devaststed . Can you imagine the heassle of returning to the USA to get a machine? I found a PR System One auto at a reasonable price. It is supposed to be new. I am out of town and will see the machine next week. How do I read the machine hours? I recently read a news release from PR touting a lot of new features. Quieter was one of them. Did Phillips redesign the System One at some point or was this just publicity? Thanks

Yes, you can read the machine total hours in the Clinician's Menu of a PR System One unit, in the Info section. Scroll down the entries and it is at the bottom.

Go to "Setup" and hold the two buttons at the same time until you hear a beep. You then need to go back into the setup option again and hit the main button. You are now in the clinicians menu. Then just scroll down to look at the total machine hours.

Thr PR System One auto is a great workhorse machine. In the winter if you have humidity/rainout issues still with the S9 you might want to try the PR System One. Thats one of its best feature. If you are buying one from someplace other than cpap.com or a good DME then you might end of with the last years model that produces a little more noise. Its not real noisy just a little more noisy than your S9 probably. Most of the new models are close to completely silent, while the year old PR System Ones still have a little noise.

Thanks el zorro. I had read that the new ones were even quiter than the S9. The price is more than right and I dont know if it is the newer version.
