I like to use clorox wipes to really make sure it is disinfected.

You can use bleach, peroxide, vinegar, dawn, (not at the same time of course) or search this forum for many more ways. Everyone should sanitize before shipping AND after receiving. That is the only safe way. Never ASSume.

Ordered mine on the 10th, a comfortgel original nasal mask. If it was shipped by mail it will take up to 3 weeks to get to me, but if it was sent by courier, I should get it soon. This is such a good idea to be able to try masks, I can't afford to try buy a new one only to find it doesn't work for me. My dme never told me about the 30 day trial, she just gave me the quattro & sent me on my way. I've since been able to get two nasal pillow masks via the generosity of members here.......If it wasn't for the "angels" on this forum, I would be up "s**t creek without a paddle". THANK YOU!!!!!
Cheers
Nan

I requested my mask on Friday, and it was in the mail Monday morning! Looking forward to the next few nights taming a Hybrid - last night we wrestled quite a bit, but it was quite a bit more comfy to sleep in than the Mirage Liberty.

Thank you to the posters regarding sanitising masks as I wasn't certain of the best thing/s to use. As it turned out I used Chlorox wipes, then a vinegar rinse, then Ivory soap for a pleasant smell.

Many thanks to Dane!

Cheers,
xena

Dane,

This is a very nice service you are providing. I'm also getting a chance to learn more about your web site. Very well designed with great information.

Thank you Dane. Perfect timing! I just started on cpap 2 weeks ago and Im not all that happy with the 2 masks I have; Im such an uninformed noob, that I didnt realize I had a say in the the equipment I was given after my sleep test. Im thinking this is fairly common though?
Im signing up for this program before the site sponsor pulls this thread. ....yes, Im a bit cynical that way.

Well, I have my google checkout in my mailbox ready to go. I was a little concerned about the possibility of this being a scam, but so far it looks legit.

Chelsea: Scam:: Absolutely not. Dane posts on this forum and has a web site with lots of videos of machines and masks. He is extremely helpful. Dane saw my post about exchanging masks for trial purposes and stepped up to the plate. I do not know him but I think he has a DME. I have yet to see him try and sell anything to forum members.

It is legitimate, I sent my google check-out on Friday around 11:00 pm and had my test mask on the doorstep on Monday afternoon. They are not pushing anything, these are masks that have been sanitized and sent out for a free trial period. Other than the packaging, the mask I am testing appears brand new, although I was the first person to try the swift fx. With the many horror stories of dme providers that we continually read, I am glad you are suspicious, unfortunately that is what this world has become, but I have received a mask to try for $7 plus return postage, that is far cheaper than mask return insurance on any website I have seen. They do want the mask returned cleaned and with all the parts that came with it so others may try it also. There is a note in the box that says if you want to purchase the type of mask you have tried to call the dme provider who Dane works for as the purchase will help offset the cost of the trial program. It is a wonderful program these people are offering us. john

Absolutely not a scam!
I emailed Dane last Friday, he responded within about 5mins, i paid for shipping a few minutes later after the Google invoice, then received the requested mask Monday morning.

Cheers,
xena
