sure looks like it, as any of their pages you go to give you the same message.
If your so inclined you could always call the number at the bottom of the letter to see if your product is/will still be available.

Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
Yes. When I called the number listed on this sad letter in September or October, I got none of the usual voicemail prompts, but a real person--a really sad sounding person who answered directly. And in response to my question about the future of the Everest and it's wonderful integrated batteries, was sadly told that they could see no way to ever revive the manufacture of this product after the fire that destroyed their factory.
I consider this to be a really tragic loss to our community as well as to the owner of this company. Great product with really no competition in terms of the tiny, lightweight, integrated battery for travel. I did not ask about their other products, but I am sure that our host, Johnny Goodman can shed some light on this if he feels at liberty to do so.

Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
Just to followup on my own thread, I ordered a bunch of Headrests to stock up; if anyone wants to trade a BUNCH of my medium pillows (still sealed / unused) for your large's (same condition) please ping me (will also post in the pillow exchange).
Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
With the going out of business in mind and for future planning, I have a related question. Hopefully the dedicated Headrest users will find this post.
I am not in a panic mode by any means but a mask fitting was scheduled for me in 2 weeks.
Which mask would a spoiled Headrest user like myself find appealing? Which masks should I ask to try?
The ones that come to my mind are the Swift and Breeze but can't think of any other nasal pillows masks which might be of interest.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
Gumby, as you know, there's no mask that can really compare to the Headrest! It's been my favorite mask, as I find it so comfortable and the way it exhausts is perfect! As far as nasal pillows masks go, I've also done well with the Fisher & Paykel Opus 360. It's very lightweight, and once adjusted properly the nasal pillows are comfortable. I don't really like the Swift FX because of the way it vents, but many people love it. I think I've tried almost every nasal pillows mask out there, and the Headrest and Opus 360 are the only two that don't put too much pressure on my upper lip. I have not tried the Breeze yet, however. That one looks promising.GumbyCT wrote:With the going out of business in mind and for future planning, I have a related question. I would love to find a full-face mask that works for me. I do find it easier to breathe with full-face and nasal masks. I have a weird face, I guess, because most full-face masks don't seal well unless I really tighten them down, which causes other problems. The best nasal mask I've found is the Activa LT, and I've recently discovered that the FlexiFit 431 full-face mask isn't too bad. I get zero leak rate with both most of the time. Perhaps you may want to consider those if you can't find a good nasal pillows mask?
This news about AEIOMed makes me feel very sad -- both for the company itself and also for those of us who love their products.
Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
DreamOn - exactly the kind of input I was looking for. Thank You.
I wear an XL w/Headrest but it appears a Large is the biggest available in the Opus. The L may be adequate but I don't know yet - that is the purpose of a mask fitting, eh! Where does the Opus exhaust at?
While looking for the Opus I saw this -
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Adam-C ... illow.html
which looks surprisingly like the Breeze which is not available on cpap.com

I remain hopeful that as many times as this mask has changed names and vendors that someone will revive this company who certainly had a niche. Any investors in the audience?DreamOn wrote:This news about AEIOMed makes me feel very sad -- both for the company itself and also for those of us who love their products.

No panic yet, only the cpap unit is being discontinued. The Headrest will continue, at least for the time being.....rested gal wrote:Apparently that's so, jdm.

I have tried so many masks, and not one will work for me except the Headrest. I don't want to panic, but I might do so.
Other masks break out my skin, leak, or are just plain uncomfortable. Nothing has the excellent exhaust system but the Headrest.
I will hope the previous poster who said it would continue is correct. I know it is not the most popular mask out there. Only Rested Gal's groupies know the secret to making it work like a charm. I know I never would have tried it without all the info and recommendations I read here in this forum. Even then I would not have tried it unless I was desperate. (I was!) It is one weird looking mask, for sure.

I'm glad that was somewhat helpful.GumbyCT wrote:DreamOn - exactly the kind of input I was looking for. Thank You.
I wear Large pillows in both Headrest and the Opus 360. It's been a few months since I wore the Opus 360, but as I recall it vents forward. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.) We have been spoiled by the upward-venting Headrest, that's for sure! But I believe the Opus 360 venting is diffuse and didn't seem too forceful, unlike some other masks. I like that the tubing can be directed and secured overhead, which minimizes "mask pull." And, as I mentioned, it is a very lightweight mask. Unobtrusive too.I wear an XL w/Headrest but it appears a Large is the biggest available in the Opus. The L may be adequate but I don't know yet - that is the purpose of a mask fitting, eh! Yes, the Adam Circuit does look quite similar to the Breeze. The Adam Circuit is available at cpap.com -- just not the denim headgear version. And the Breeze is available at cpap.com. They sell it with either one size of pillows or a set of three sizes. Here's a link to the one-pillow mask: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/purita ... rface.html. I've also seen it sold elsewhere with two pillow sizes. That mask can also be used with their DreamSeal nasal cushion. I'd like to know how much (if any) pressure the nasal pillows assembly puts on the upper lip, which is one of my "problem" areas. While looking for the Opus I saw this -

Since, according to their website announcement, AEIOMed won't be selling the Headrest after current supplies are depleted, it would be wonderful if another company could take over production! Actually, I would love to see the Headrest with improved headgear. Although the nasal pillows stay in place for me without any modifications (zero leak rate!), I do have to wear the headgear over my PAPCap Plus. The Velcro in the back of the PAPCap holds the Headrest headgear in place. Without that, it would slide all over the place since the headgear doesn't fit properly on my head (the headgear is too large for my head!).I remain hopeful that as many times as this mask has changed names and vendors that someone will revive this company who certainly had a niche. You're right that the Headrest is one weird-looking contraption, but I do sleep like a baby with it!Catnapper wrote:It is one weird looking mask, for sure.

Re: Is Aeiomed going out of business?
I tried the Breeze first and didn't like it on account of the head gear. I found that the metal piece was unforgiving and the end of where the plastic piece sits hurt my head as it felt like it was digging in.
I guess I need to buy up a couple of extra masks -- but with Christmas knocking at the door and 10 grandkids to buy for ==money isn't real plentiful right now.
Good thing is that they seem to last a long time. I am still using the original one I purchased from a forum member about 6 or 8 months into my therapy and am still on the original headgear and pillows. I have been using it for almost 3 years.
Not a good day for us that love their products!!!
