SQUISHED CLIMATE LINE FOR S9

Post by Mebake » Tue Nov 16, 2010 3:22 pm

Anybody have experience with a squished climate line tubing? Mine got stepped on I managed to get it pretty much round again and it seemed to work. Just wondering if any body else has experience this. Or should I look into replacing it.

I would check to see if you have leaks. One simple way to do that is to use some water on the outside of the hose. (Don't power the climate line when you do that, though it is almost certainly just DC current, which would not be a problem ... still ...) If you see bubbles then it's definitely time to replace the hose. I've done that before. I typcially just cover the end of the hose. I always keep a spare hose because "holes happen"!

In fact, if it was a TIGHT crimp you might want to replace the hose anyway - since it could have broken / stressed the heating element.

Hope that helps.

FYI the climate line has had problems with breaking easily, our local Resmed rep is replacing them if they break free of charge so it may be worth asking your local supplier if they can send it back under warranty. All of there stuff has at least a 30 day warranty.

Good Luck
