Fatigue?

Post by zrons » Wed Nov 17, 2010 5:36 pm

Started CPAP in Sept. Initially my AHI was in the 40ies. Snoring was 250 and lots of leaks. They changed pressure from 10 to 11 and AHI dropped to 8ish, snoring dropped to 217 and leaks reduced some. I now have been on a trial use of an APAP for one week. AHI is now under 5, snoring is 35 and leaks are moderate. The average pressure with the APAP is 15. My numbers are significantly better. I still have Fatigue. Although I sleep better my fatigue has not changed and may even be worse. I still take 1 or 2 naps a day and have for years. Any thoughts? Thanks zrons

If you have only been on APAP x 1 week, sounds like you have a lot of sleep deficit to catch up on. Took me a couple on months before I wasn't looking for an occaisional nap.

If you're sleeping on your back, do everything you can not to... from big pillows to tennis balls if necessary - then check your numbers after a few days.
