I had a hose that keeps coming apart through the night. So what I did was put a rubber band around the rigid part of the faulty joint, then assembled the connection and rolled the rubber band over the squishy part of the hose, thoroughly tightening the joint.
Tell me your ideas about how you make your equipment better.

My current hose is almost a year old and I have never had this problem. I remove the hose from my mask when I go to the bathroom and when I get up in the AM..thats twice a day for about 10-11 months without it getting too loose.
If you continue to have the problem why not buy a new hose...they're cheap.

The rubber band is a good idea. I wonder if it is a certain brand hose that has this trouble?
I use a 3/4in. pvc elbow on mine where I have to take it on/off to put water in the HC 150 humidifier. The elbows can be found at any hardware store or any place that sells plumbing supplies.
If you can take a hose or something with you. Don't be surprised at how loose it fits the HC 150 but it doesn't leak or come off by itself.

"I just use a "quick connect" ( available at cpap.com last time I looked) on both ends of my main hose. When I get up in the night and in the morning, I just pull the "quick connect" and never need to work the hose end off. I remove my mask after disconnecting the hose. I don't remove the mask if I get up to the bathroom in the night - just turn off the machine pull the quick connect, make the trip, come back and reconnect the mask to the quick connect.
I also use the Respironics Performance hose ( also available at cpap.com). It is very light and flexible and seems to last longer that the heavy original hoses.
The PR System One ships with the Performance hose.

I put my hose under my covers at night. My nose gets very cold with the moisture whichs wakes me. I found that if I put the hose under the covers with me the hose stays warm and so does my nose.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem of the hose not wanting to come off the mask or CPAP device? I'm sure I'm really spoiled, but my medical equipment supplier replaces my hose and filter monthly through my insurance. Hard to get that hose off. The quick connect doesn't really help since I need the hose completely disconnected on both ends.

I would try some baby powder or maybe some fine powder makeup on the inside of the rubber.

GoSpurs......Not to offend you or anything, but changing the tubing monthly is just a waste of resources. Many of us have used the same tubing for months, if not a year. Just keep it cleaned. Plus, where does all that stuff go each month? (into the earth, no doubt).
Just wanted to give my 2 cents about you really not needing to change every month. Hope you aren't offended.
