The stupid thing is that I have been awake for 26 hours because an outside company has to "check" my CPAP.
Well as I was writing this they came. Checked the plug. That's it. I waited hours for that? Going to get some sleep… finally.
Im glad our hospital stopped that nonsense..
However Now they say they have to have a RT come in and *Check it* most of the time they arrive AFTER I've set it up or my BF has and I have been asleep a few hours to wake me up and ask if my pressures alright and am I having any problems.. That is *IF* they show up at all. My last 3 day stay they never showed up at all. At least not while I was awake.

I'm concerned. More than 24 hours since Kenny's post, and no update from him.

Kenny, I'm there with all the rest of our bunch, sending my sincere and positive wishes to you for your swift recovery. Is it possible that they can cure the breathing issue from the other end?? Be well. We miss you!

I'm home! I was discharged Sunday night. The obstruction and ileus cleared on it's own. Well it had a little help called NPO (nil per os - nothing by mouth) for four days and some super colon blow laxatives. The skin on my rear may never heal!
GI doc is pretty sure it was a weak adhesion that built up over the last couple of years left over from my lap. gallbladder surgery in 2007. He said that some adhesions will detach themselves. My belly is tender from all of it, but I feel better than ever. I even walked a mile on Monday to keep things moving I there. My stamina, anxiety and sleep have all improved! My heart rate is back in the 70s. Amazing what some stuck poop can do to a person!!
Thanks to for all your kind and funny posts. The cheered me up. Now it's my turn to take care of my sick wife who has a fever and tummy issues.
Sleep well and live better!

So glad to hear you have improved and back at home. At least you were spared the surgery. I think bowel surgerys can be the worst for infections, twisting off and creating another blockage. ect.
I think we were all getting alittle worried about you and I for one am glad it turned out well. Welcome back. And make some time for recovery for yourself too
