You don't need to see your download if you have a good doc/rt team. And it's funny, because people scream "If I didn't watch my downloads, then I would have blah blah blah!"

Exactly. You proved my point exactly. If your doc had or rt had been worth anything, then they would have listened to you.

I'm sorry that your doc sucks.

Not everyone has 100% coverage or an rt within a convenient driving distance, not to mention taking time off from your job to see the rt. I enjoy looking at my data and have improved more in the last two months with help from this forum than the previous 5 years of trying therapy with help? from an rt. This is in my defense...........No appologies nesscessary for my rt, you don't employ her. I would love to have half of the money I spent there to purchase more data gathering equipment. john

It can be done without witch hunting.....

There is a saying, "if you spend enough time with a wolf in sheep's clothing, the wolf will reveal itself."

So a good moderator will just keep an eye on things...and when it's obvious who the wolf is....or like today when the wolf actually admits it's the wolf...you just ban that person....and eventually they get tired of trying....they'll test it for a while and then give up. But another troll will usually come along....or after time goes by, the original troll will try again to successfully disrupt....it's part of the mental compulsion to do so.

I used to moderate (with others of course) the politics channel on AOL years ago (MANY years ago). That task wasn't for the lilly livered, that's for sure, and after a while you get a feel for it. If a troll has written quite a bit and you're able to read it, it's very hard for them to assume a new alias and disguise their writing style, and their personality.

There are ways to notice them, and moderating is more like just taking care of the extreme....not the everyday little piddly stuff.

This is a small forum -- if people want to just deal with it or ignore it....it's a wash....sort of an oh well.

I do know of some people who just stop posting when he's around though. Trollers who are able to be successful in disrupting, usually do hurt the forum. Through GOOD, EFFECTIVE moderating, it can keep a forum open for all those and their posts rolling along peacefully.

Just my .02 cents. I have already figured out a way to avoid the twit even without a moderator so I'm happy.

That is the main point of the forum IMO. I had two doctors and a technician who seemed to want to help me and returned my calls and talked to me at length about my therapy. Nothing improved.

Then I wandered into the forum and found there were knowledgeable patients who had machines with software and monitored their own process and tweaked it to achieve good results. Well by gawd I started listening to them, got the right equipment and quit calling the doctors' office and the process started to work for me!!!

We have a couple of related sayings in business:

"If you want to improve something, measure it."

"If you don't measure a process, you will be unlikely to improve it."

xerort, Not only have you shown your arrogance here, but you also have shown your ignorance!!!

Ivy League, Smivey League, I would put a middle school graduate up against you!
