Maybe I am twisted.
Since therapy (little over two weeks)
I have started to dream again.
But my dreams have been dreams of peril .
Anyone else have this happen to them?

Sure. Starting to dream again indicates that your are now reaching REM state more consistently. The sense of peril is probably just your brain dealing with the new situation - using a mask, seeing doctors, being wired to the hilt, etc.
You can look up "directed dreaming" to see if you can influence your dreams. Most of us can, it just takes some practice. Reading before sleep is often a good way to seed the dreams with more interesting ideas.

Maybe after I get used to everything my dreams will get happier. I will take your advice and read before going to bed.

May you never, ever have the dream I had on Night 3: I was a human-goose being force-fed (air) in order to be turned into foie gras.
Hope that you have some good, relaxing dreams soon.

Re: dreams
Dreams can occur in any stage of sleep, so you no doubt were dreaming before PAP therapy. But, as stated, the memorable dreams generally occur during REM, and getting enough REM is a good thing, and PAP therapy can make that possible.
As also stated, though, the first several weeks of PAP therapy can involve getting used to the therapy itself. The arousals (or, mini-awakenings) that result from that process can increase the number of dreams a person may recall.
If you remember a lot of weird dreams--good, you are likely getting into REM. But if you don't remember weird dreams--that could be a good sign too, since it may indicate fewer arousals. So someone who does not remember dreams may be getting just as good PAP therapy as someone who does remember dreams.
I would not be overly concerned either way, myself, since the number of dreams remembered does not necessarily relate in any way to the number of dreams that are occurring.
