Data from the last 7 days (hurray!)

Post by Jman2010 » Sat Oct 23, 2010 1:57 pm

So I got a hold of the software for my Phillips machine. After some headdeskbanging, I got it installed and was able to browse the data.

I did a report of the last 7 days. My concern is, that while I'm feeling better during the day, I've been waking up groggy still. Dunno if an O2 meter would help see what's going on better, this report is greek to me. Any interpretations would be awesome. I can get any other data if need be, just let me know.

Here's the summary page, the purple line indicates when I switched from the FFM to the Nasal Pillows.

Well, it would help if we saw your original test results. I don't know where the periodic breathing is coming from or is OK. I'm not sure if you have enough data her to show trends.

If you are feeling better in the day, that's good. I have been using a machine for two months now and feel a lot better in the day - but increasingly wake up "out of it". Frankly I feel it's because I am dreaming a lot and am not used to it. When you're not used to having much REM sleep, when you finally have it - things can be a bit difficult to get used to. I've been told that it will get better with time. My energy after awakening still (after 2 months) is getting better and better.

Jman, the "Detailed" report showing the "Daily Details" (detailed graphs for each of the most recent sleep sessions -- usually contains at least 5 individual nights) is often more helpful to look at than summary or trend reports. Or anyway, more helpful for me to see.

You may have come across the link below that Pad-A-Cheek kindly posted a month or so ago, but if not... it's a very interesting "webinar" where a Philips Respironics rep is teaching DMEs how to read the Encore Pro reports.

Very useful info including how to get to the "waveform" data page produced by System One machines.
Waveform data is produced only for the most recent sleep session. Doesn't show several nights in a row of waveform data, like the usual "detailed data" does for apneas, hypopneas, leak, etc. If a person wants to see the waveform for every sleep session, you'd have to download after each sleep session.

Link to the "webinar":

The presentation is free, but you have to fill out a form to view it. Here's how I went about filling out the form: viewtopic.php?p=521987#p521987

I could make the same charts with MS paint. The funny thing is that MS paint would probably end up being more accurate.

That webinar was awesome, hadn't seen it before. Thank you! Looks like I'll be downloading data every day. I'll dig around later on and get some of those detailed reports uploaded on rapidshare or something since I don't feel like doing 12+ pictures.

Waveform data? Wow - I thought that only was visible on Encore Pro? I've got to take a look at that video. Gee, you buy the software and you think they'd tell you how to use it. Nothing but a bunch of help files!

Or is this encore pro only? (or also EncoreAnywhere?) My encoreViewer doesn't do that. I'd love to see waveform data. How does one find the Encore Pro Software? Thanks.

It's Encore Pro only, the software for your DME or Dr. I assume Encore Anywhere is some website Phillips set up for Drs to use the software via a web browser.

Btw, check your PMs.

I download data just fine with encoreviewer, but it doesn't download "last night's" data until the follow-on day. Today is the 27th, but download goes only through the 25th - nothing from the 26th. Is this how it works? Maybe since part of last night was the 26th and part was the 27th it is waiting for the entire 27th day to end before making any of the prior session's data available. I don't want to wait the extra day.

At least in the ResMed software, each day is from noon (the 26th) to noon (the 27th). It would seem to make sense that if you are downloading the data for the prior night's sleep on the real 27th, you would see the data for the data 26th.
