I use a heated tube and the difference is incredible. Before the heated hose even my teeth were sore from the cold air.I still use the humidifier on the CPAP machine as well. The hetade tube is by SleepZone - I think it's an Australian product. A link to look at is:

If it is coming from the vent on the mask. The holes are smaller so the air is speeded up that will make it fill cooler.

I wouldn't worry about air coming from the vent. How does the air that you are breathing feel? What do you have your humidifier set to>

I prefer the cool air. I turned off the heating element on the humidifier within a week of starting to use my CPAP. I love that breeze on my face inside my total face mask.

That's one reason I like the nasal pillows style mask. I use my humidifier as passover only because breathing warm air closes my sinuses right up with congestion. When I had a nasal mask, the tip of my nose where the incoming air hit it was so cold it wouldn't even wiggle. Had to take my mask off and hold my nose every little while till it warmed up. Fortunately my vented air shoots upward so I never feel it (Headrest).

Yep! If I sleep on my side, I have to pull the covers up to cover my arm, coz I have air from the hose blowing in my arm. And it's cool air. I guess I just have to wear sleeves to bed

I have to cover up my honey; otherwise he might roll over and blow on me.
