Songs to help you fall asleep

Post by spitintheocean » Sun Oct 17, 2010 1:09 am

I'm looking for suggestions to assemble a "Sleep Playlist" of sleep themed songs that are gentle on the ears like "Imagine" from John Lennon but probably nothing from AC-DC, if you catch my drift.

To start this project off, here's one of my favourites performed by the Irish Descendants "John O'Dreams"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQKNAxYLiNA

When sleep it comes the dreams come running clear
The hawks of morning cannot reach you here
Sleep is a river, flows on forever
And for your boatman choose old John O' Dreams

Of course, the song doesn't have to be specifically about sleep as long as it it has a 'dreamy' quality like this one from Chris Rea Gone Fishing

You can waste whole lifetime
Trying to be
What you think is expected of you
But you'll never be free

May as well go fishing
