You made me curious. WHOA!! there really IS a thanksgiving in Canada!

(I cheated, I looked it up):

Not only IS THERE, you BEAT US by about 6 weeks, and 43 years !!!

I guess it's only appropriate to say HAPPY (way way belated) THANKSGIVING TO YOU TOO !

Next you'll tell us you have a FOURTH OF JULY!

oh wait, I'll bet you do. nevermind.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Now if I can just get over this stubborn cold, I will be in the spirit of things.

Thanksgiving

Post by Hawthorne » Thu Nov 24, 2005 5:39 am

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to American friends here! We do have a Thanksgiving in Canada. We don't have a 4th of July but we DO have a 1st of July. It is our Canada Day. It used to be called Dominion Day but, over the years, as Canada has become more and more independent of Britain, it came to be called Canada Day.

Thanks! There is still a lot to be happy about after all these years. Besides, one does get to eat the spread without guilt because calories don't count on Thanksgiving Day...right
