I thought it fitting to have a meet and greet. A quick getting to know you just for the medical professionals.
Hi, my name is James Stillwell I am an RPSGT and a REEGT. I have about 20 years experience in medicine and I work in Denver at the National Jewish Center for Respiratory Care.
Forum Admin Edit:
Hello Johnny,
We were alerted this morning that you have a user, calist, that is saying that he is an employee of National Jewish Health. He lists his name as James Stillwell and says that his employer is National Jewish Health. This is NOT the case. He is not employed by National Jewish health and he is giving out false medical information and is being abusive to other users.

Thank you,

OMG - Do you (or did you) know Dr. Gelfand (Ped. Neuro. originally from Canada)? Worked for him back in Toronto some years ago - one of the more exciting times I can remember, and that's after years of other teaching hospitals and other very, very special people.

You know it sounds familiar but I can't say I do. Do you know what department he is in?

Take a test is what they mean. You have to take a test and then they give you this diploma thing. Oh and it costs like 3 thousand bucks.

Did you READ my note? I said Ped. Neuro. However, by now he's either running the whole place or retired...

I'm not sure that he's going to "fit in just fine here," but everyone is welcome to have an opinion.

27 years designing formulations for new chemical entity prescription drugs. A real conversation stopper at cocktail parties. Usually I just say I work in pharmaceuticals. My wife's a nurse, though, does that count?

20+ years in medical products for me, and since many of those years were in quality management, that usually stops conversations at work, too

Boy, do I know what you mean by that one! I was a biotech scientist on the 80's until I couldn't stand the corruption any more. But we did make pharmaceuticals (well, we pretended to!). It wasn't a good line to use when looking for dates - for sure! Well, it helped if they knew about stock options, etc. - but then you got bored with them.
So, no - as my mother always told me - I wasn't a real Dr.! I used to play Dr. when I was a kid (I had a thing for blondes), but could never get past the exam stage. So I married a blonde instead (who didn't care about stock options).

I'm not sure that he's going to "fit in just fine here," but everyone is welcome to have an opinion.
Considering that he's called me a liar in another thread and has provided totally inaccurate information about my equipment, I'm not sure how well he's going to fit in here either. But like LoQ says, everyone is entitled to their opinion, which I will respect. But I have a lot of trouble being called a liar (I'm not) and having someone tell me that I can't be using the equipment that I am and that it doesn't have a mode that it does. For some reason, that really ticks me off.
To each his own though. I just hope people double check the information given out and don't just run on blind faith.
