I guess I've reached the "creative" stage of cpap therapy now. I'm wondering if nasal mask users like myself who happen to be mouthbreathers might benefit from some kind of modified snorkle mouthpiece? You would have to plug the opening on the outside of the mouthpiece, but the fact that the mouthpiece goes over the teeth and gums inside the mouth - upper and lower - seems like it might stop mouth leaks. It might work better than the boil and fit mouthpieces.
Here's a link to one: http://www.123scuba.com/c-snorkeling-pa ... ories.html
I've been thinking about this for awhile now. Any opinions?

Yes, it's been done already. It's called the Oracle:

Well, kinda. I was thinking more of the mouthpiece being a "dummy" with no air in or out, and still having the nasal pillows. If they could modify this mask (Oracle) to include nasal pillows then it would be just about perfect I think.SleepingUgly wrote:Yes, it's been done already. It's called the Oracle:

You are trying to seal your mouth so it won't leak? Then how about tape?
