Slinky - we are indeed working on an IntelliPAP Bilevel. More to come on this - and I will be sure to announce it's introduction to the market on this board.

I am SO impressed - this really makes me happy with my decision to replace my previous machine with an IntelliPap Auto. Thanks and keep up the great support.

Has there been any more progress on an IntelliPAP bi-level? Has one been introduced and I've missed out on the introduction?? A lot has been going on here and I've been hitting the forums just kind of hit or miss.

Thank you, Snnnark!!! This is not the first time you've pulled my chestnuts outta the fire for me! These doggone bi-level autos are so expensive .... This doesn't appear to be a bi-level auto tho *sigh*, but "just" a bi-level. As expensive as bi-levels are I'd really prefer to go w/an auto adjusting one as I've done w/the Resmed S8 VPAP Auto and the PR SystemOne Bi-Level Auto (w/my sleep doc's blessings and encouragement). My pressure needs seem to fluctuate A LOT due to COPD.

Its just NOT clear what data the IntelliPAP Bi-Level and the SmartCode provide
https://bb4b1663da2f8a31ea1b-be9b2e315e ... arison.jpg
The link cpap.com provides to Smart Codes Reports Based On Model doesn't even mention the IntelliPAP Bi-Level.

And to be truthful, I don't know how thrilled or impressed I am about having to rely on access to an outside source to gain access that the data.

However, it won't cost me anything but some time to see if MAYBE one of our local DME providers would be willing to provide a one month RENTAL of a DeVilbiss IntellipPAP Bi-Level "if" it can provide full data. THAT would be WONDERFUL if I can find a provider willing to do that.

I'll have to check w/DeVilbiss about any providers in my area.

The machine can detect when the airway is closing ( having an event - apnea, hypopnea, flow limitation, vibratory snore). It works to keep the airway open so that the maximum air can get into your lungs.

Don't know how much that helps but it is a start.

Tony 72 - DeVilbiss uses a pressure transducer, manufactured to precise tolerances, to measure deviations in pressure. Pressures changes as small as 0.05 cm H2O are noted by the sensor allowing the algorithm to make pinpoint adjustments in therapy delivery and to record precise measurements on therapy reporting tools.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Somewhere here at cpaptalk I stumbled onto a link that goes to some on-demand webinars produced by DeVilbiss, but also addressing other manufacturer's products, and offers great explanations as to the process and technology in xPAP devices. Highly recommended - and here is the link to the webinars -- http://www.devilbissclinicaleducation.c ... l_webinars
