SmartLink Question
SmartLink Question
With my new IntelliPAP AutoAdjust, I received the SmartLink Module and Software (updated to version 2.1).
Each morning (only used for two nights, so far), I take the SD card out of the SmartLink module and place it into my PC and try to download the data into the desktop PC. So far, it seems to have no data recorded - or, at least, I cannot determine how to access/report it from the desktop software.
The APAP *does* provide me SmartCodes that I can use online to see some of the data and reports - which tells me the data is being recorded SOMEWHERE.
So:
1. How can I confirm the SmartLink module is installed correctly? Each time I remove or insert the SD card, I see the appropriate display on the APAP screen.
2. How can I get the APAP to record data to the SmartLink SD card so that it may be read from the desktop software?
Any help appreciated.

Re: SmartLink Question
Here is what you need to do:
1. First, make sure your SD card is formatted in FAT16. Mine came that way, but you might need to reformat it.
2. Do not leave the SD card in the machine. You use the machine overnight and then when you are up the next morning, put the card in the module and you will see the readout that says Card Detected-Please Wait and then, I believe it says Data Transfer Successful-Remove Card, followed after you remove the card with Card Removed -Send to Provider.
3. Put SD card into your reader and then you can upload the data to the software.
Remember, this software is technically for the RT, DME or Doc to read so normally the card is sent to you to collect the data and then send back for them to read. As a daily user of the software, you need to put the card in and take it out so YOU can read it!
It did take me a few mins to figure out how to get the data into the software. This is what I do:
1. Open the software on your computer.
2. Once you see the Patient Info page show up the Download Data icon becomes clickable at the top menu bar on the right.
3. Click on that and you will get a dialog box to choose the data card (which should be in the SD slot by now); then the patient; then it will import the data; then click Finish
4. Now, click on the Patient name in the left hand column and you get a drop down list...choose Reports
5. When the Reports pane comes up....choose the tab that says Nightly
6. When that pane appears, you will see the drop down for choosing the date you want to see.
7. Scroll through that night's data.... you can save the report in pdf format
I hope this helps!

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
Re: SmartLink Question
Can someone tell me how to upgrade version 2.0 to version 2.1?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: SmartLink Question
Hmmmm.... I opened my software one day, and I got the update to 2.1 automatically! But, if that hasn't happened, click on the logo/symbol in the upper left corner of the software pane when opened...and choose Update Software.

Thanks for the instructions.
I *finally* found the "Reports" link - and all the metrics I was looking for are located there.
Thanks again!
Re: SmartLink Question
Thank you, Emilia. Unfortunately, v 2.0 won't install properly on my 64 bit Windows 7 laptop (error messages and the app is grayed out, etc). I was able to install v 2.0 on my 32 bit Vista desktop at work and do the upgrade successfully. While upgrading, it said v 2.1 has a fix for 64 bit OS problems. So it looks like I need a v 2.1 install disk to install on my laptop.Emilia wrote:Hmmmm.... I opened my software one day, and I got the update to 2.1 automatically! If anyone knows where to download a 2.1 installation file, please let me know. I just pm'd Devilbiss here on the forum about this as well.
Thanks again.
Re: SmartLink Question
Hi Sirca... I am using XP so I had no issues. I have my software installed on my little Eee Asus netbook! I am normally a Mac user during the work day, but got the netbook last year.... glad I did!! I really didn't want to run Windows on my iMac via Parallels or Bootcamp. It seems sacrilegious to me!! The 2.0 disk says it works on 7, but evidently there is /was a problem with the 64 bit. I am sure DeVilbiss will help you out....she is an excellent rep for the company.

Re: SmartLink Question
For 64 bit machines please go to https://www.intellipap.com/WebUpdate/Sm ... NU-x64.msi.
Emilia, you did discover one of the new features of SmartLink 2.0 - everytime you computer is connected to the Internet, the SmartLink software will automatically search for and load any updates that may be available.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Re: SmartLink Question
I would like to know if every time your computer is connected to the internet, the SmartLink uploads any data from your computer anywhere? I can imagine DeVilbiss could have some use for that. Is there any chance that is happening with data of any kind?DeVilbiss Marketing wrote:Emilia, you did discover one of the new features of SmartLink 2.0 - everytime you computer is connected to the Internet, the SmartLink software will automatically search for and load any updates that may be available.
