But you get the nice weather and beautiful views in BC. We need to get some sort of carrot for living here.
forgot to mention that Alberta also do not provide any subsidy for CPAP users. Alberta residents get oil in their tap water as incentive

I am in Ontario. Here ADP will pay 75% of a CPAP machine. Check if you have ADP funding in Ontario before you buy online. I upgraded to S9 elite, but ADP still paid the $750.00

I agree with this statement. The main objective with a socialized health care is to save money. In the U.S. the main objective is to save lives.. If I need an MRI to see if I really need surgery quickly I can get. If your time is limited to get the correct procedure, who gives a crap what it cost. The internet is full of stories of people who had to come to the U.S. to get emergency procedures done because their country had "free health care" but it would take to long or the government said no to a certain procdure. I mean, once your dead, its over.

But it looks like the U.S. is headed toward " I trust my government to take care of my health care needs" attitude. The same government who has stolen all of the money out of every socialized program they ever came up with.

Go and find actual facts and figures to back up your ignorance. Not just a few internet whines. Mind you real ones not the crap produced by the tea baggers.

I hope this thread is not turning into another health care debate! I live in Canada. I'm happy with our health care system. Like every health care system it needs to be reviewed and revised constantly.

I am in no position to debate since I know little or nothing about the US health care system and I really don't want to.

I come here for cpap and sleep apnea information and to give any help I can from my cpap/sleep apnea experience. If Canadians ask about my experience with cpap/sleep apnea and/or our health care system, I will gladly share. If Americans ask about cpap/sleep apnea and I have some experience to share I gladly do that.

I ask for help and give info from my experience in cpap/sleep apnea here.

That's it for me.

healthcare is a basic human and civil right,no matter where in the world you live. The problem is those who have turned healthcare into a have/havenot type of system.

I suspect the moderators here are going to get a bit tired of this thread - it is getting a bit away from cpap issues.

If you want a place to talk political or economic theory, or just about anything else, the discussion board http://www.carnuts.ca may help. It's very automotive oriented, but the moderator isn't into monomania and there are categories for all sorts of discussions, to suit your interests. Warning - it's a peaceable place and there are strict rules to keep it that way. But within the rules there's a place for whatever backchat you desire.

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. - Winston Churchill

1) Oh certainly, you don't have to look hard, we are at least 50% of the way to socialism - Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, AFDC, unemployment insurance, flood insurance, corporate bailouts, Farm Bill, pension bailouts, union payoffs, - the list goes on and on and now the massive Obamacare gets thrown in.

2)So how did your first night with CPAP go?

Hello

Sorry I did not want to get into a debate just wanted to let you know what a auto cpap cost in Manitoba Canada.
Manitoba health will cover 100% of the cost for a very basic cpap machine and supplies. But when a basic machine is not good enough we have to buy our own.

I thought I was missing something when I saw the price on cpap .com it is half the price on there. They sure take advantage here in Canada to take all your money from you.

Thanks
Sudsy
